“We must discover the power of love, the redemptive power of love..” Those were the words echoed by the Most Rev. Michael Curry, the 27th and current presiding bishop and primate of the Episcopal Church at the Royal wedding today. The Bishop delivered his message with passion and enthusiasm, charging up the entire atmosphere.
In his 13minutes long sermon, he emphasized the healing power of love and how it can make this old world a new world. Rev. Bishop Curry also referenced Dr. Martin Luther King on the “redemptive power of love.” He said “There’s power in love. Don’t underestimate it. Don’t even over-sentimentalise. There is power, power in love.”
Bishop Curry is the first African American leader of the Episcopal Church.

Bishop Michael Curry thinks this is a black church. Beautiful passion but he's scaring the white folks. #RoyalWedding pic.twitter.com/KcE1LJ3Tnw

If you're watching the #RoyalWedding, you're getting a taste of the black church and black preaching. Stand up job by Bishop Michael Curry. BTW, he has ties to North Carolina.
