As of Nov 22, super star Kanye West has been hospitalized.

On Monday, LAPD responded to a disturbance call at 1:20 p.m. PT on North Laurel Avenue in West Hollywood. He said no crime had been committed. West apparently voluntarily admitted himself into hospitalization. The incident occurred shortly after reported outbursts from West during his shows.

West has been known to speak his mind, but at his recent shows he has taken it a little too far. At one show West insisted he would have voted for Trump, while constantly interrupting the show to talk politics and race issues. At another show, he began interrupting again, this time attacking his friend Jay- Z. West stated things such as “Call me, brah, you still ain’t call me. Jay Z, I know you got killas, please don’t send them at my head. Just call me. Talk to me like a man” .

When the call to LAPD was made West, who was at the home of his personal trainer Harley Pasternak, had been suffering from exhaustion and sleep deprivation. According to a source with knowledge of the situation, under the consultation of his physician, he voluntarily went to the hospital. Contrary to reports, the temperamental musician did not assault anyone involved.

West has cancelled the remaining 21 shows on the tour set. His friends and family are standing by him, and his wife Kim Kardashian West has reportedly been by his side in the hospital.

Kanye West is known for his outbursts. Like the famous 2009 VMA interruption where he claimed country pop star Taylor Swift did not deserve the Video of the Year Award, but instead  that Beyoncé did. Or when Beck beat Beyoncé for Album of the Year at the 2015 Grammy Awards and West stated Beck should give the award to Beyoncé. Or in 2008 when Kanye was 2 hours late to performing and the crowd voiced their displeasure with boos, threw bottles at the stage as well, and West went on a tirade blaming the promoters. However, these past incidents at his concerts are a whole other level.

Talking about your political beliefs and trying to contact someone is one thing when it is done over something like social media. But interrupting shows, which fans paid for, just to do those kinds of things is a little rude. But obviously something was going on for Kanye to admit himself into hospitalization.

It is not unheard of for celebrities to eventually grow tired of performing.

Britney Spears also lost it under all the pressure. In 2007, her breakdown was highly publicized, including the pictures of her freshly shaven head as she wielded an umbrella at  a camera.  This came after a very public custody battle and divorce with ex-husband Kevin Federline. Likewise, famed Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher spent time in multiple hospitals battling bipolar disorder and addiction.

In the days since his admittance to the hospital, several sources have speculated that perhaps West’s attack was triggered by the anniversary of his mother’s death. Those who have followed West’s career know that he has always been very vocal about his love and appreciation of his mother, even going so far to name his Creative House after her. Thus, it comes as no surprise to many that the anniversary of her death might be a possible cause for his psychotic break. Nevertheless, it is what many are wondering is whether he received the proper care and learned to cope with her passing, or if this episode is the manifestation of many years of bottled up emotions. Hollywood is known for being a place perfection or at least the appearance of it. A place where you fake it until you make it. People often keep their battles private, and their demons to themselves in hopes of being accepted and loved by all. When the truth is, they are human just like us, and should take the time to care for themselves. Whatever the root of West’s issue is we only hope that he receives the care he needs and all it takes to recover. He has long been hailed as so much more than a musician. We wish him well!

There are plenty of artists who are successful, in Hollywood and the music industry, who don’t”fake it til you make it”. That as***** trump proves that. Kanye has something else going on. Maybe he is struggling with bipolar disorder.
